Sausages have always been a popular “child food” but they can contain a lot of junk and not much meat! I decided to have a go at making some myself.
Ingredients:
– 400g pork mince
– 1 onion
– 1 cup oats
– salt, pepper, herbs (any seasoning you would like to use.
Finely chop the onion and lightly fry until soft. Mix a little water in with the oats to soften.
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl until combined.
Fun part – place the mixture in a piping bag, and pipe out sausages!
Seal the outsides in a frying pan, then transfer to the oven. Cook for 25-30 mins.
Serve hot with veg or keep cold in the fridge to use with salads, lunches etc.
Everyone liked these so I will definitely be making them again.
